Please be advised that the Oshawa Métis Council is looking for individuals who are interested in serving as a Councilor with the OMC. Currently there are three positions vacant on the Council - one for Vice President, the second for a Councilor, and the third for the Youth Representative. All positions are for one year terms.
To be eligible for these role, the person must be:
1. an MNO citizen
2. resident in the geographic territory represented by the OMC
3. eligible to be nominated as a candidate pursuant to the Electoral
Code of the MNO, Part B, as amended from time to time.
4. the youth representative must be 16 - 29 years old.
Anyone interested and eligible is encouraged to put their name forward by contacting the President of the Council. All interested people will be considered by the Council, and the appointment will then be made by a majority vote of the Oshawa Métis Council at the December Council meeting, scheduled for Sunday, December 6th at 1:00 pm.
